Classwork and new assignments
Hello Everyone,
Many students are not logging on to jupitergrades to check on their grades and missing assignments, and as the days go by, they are falling farther behind. Many students still have not set up their online journals and linked to the other students in classes 8C1 and 8C2. Many students have not logged into junoed to complete the two tests that available ( A third test will be added this week). If these assignments are not completed and handed in by Wednesday December 14th, you will receive a failing grade on your progress report, which will be mailed out on Friday December 16th.
There is a new assignment on the website 4teachers.org. Go to 4teachers.org and on the right side of the computer screen you will see a list of options. Click on the option that says PersuasiveStar and it will take you to the registration page. On the left side of the screen you will see teacher registration and student registration. Click on the student registration and register to use the service (it is free). It will ask you for an assignment code, enter 340FMN0, the assignment code is case sensitive. Then, you will enter teacher's name (hinesley). Once you have pressed submit, you will get a user name (write it down, cause it is only good for this assignment), and be allowed to view the assignment. Start your assignment ASAP. The assignment will be due during you Xmas break and not after unless changes need to be made. If you have any issues let me know ASAP.

Class assignment
Remember to visit at least three classmates' blogs a week. You may also visit the blogs of students from the other class. Do not forget to have two copies of the homework story tomorrow. Please ask questions and answer questions on other students' blogs.

First Blog
From now on classes 8C1 and 8C2 will maintain a blog, where they report about what they are reading in class and at home. All students are to ask questions about the different texts that they are reading, as well as, ask and answer questions on their classmates blog posts. All students are to log into their blogs a couple of times a week. Think of your blog as an online journal, where you can express your ideas about the books that you are reading. You can also ask questions that your classmates can answer. I will also post and answer questions, so make sure to check my blog. This blog is a joint endeavor between Ms. Ribaudo and Mr. Hinesley, so you will receive a grade for Technology class and Humanities. Your blog needs to follow English grammar rules. I do not want to read foul language on your blog.
By December 10th 2011 all students are to have logged into jupitergrades and junoed. Your user name for both site is your first and last name, and if you need your password let me know immediately. If you have any other log in issues, email me or talk to me during class time, and I will fix the problems as soon as possible.
